Murder Probe Launched After Double Death at Shooting Range
Police have launched a murder investigation after the bodies of a man and woman were found at White Lodge Shooting School in North Lincolnshire.
Double Death Discovered at Thornton Curtis
The grim discovery happened Friday afternoon on College Road near Thornton Curtis, following concerns about safety at the shooting school. Emergency services rushed to the scene but both victims were pronounced dead.
The school sits about six miles south of the Humber Bridge, just a 20-minute drive from Grimsby.
Police Confirm No Further Suspects
Humberside Police confirmed they are not searching for anyone else in connection with the deaths. A heavy police presence remains at the site, with multiple vehicles and a large forensic tent set up, local paper Grimsby Live reported.
Investigation Underway, Community Reassured
“We are in the very early stages of our inquiries. A homicide investigation is ongoing, and both deaths are being treated as suspicious,” said Chief Inspector Al Curtis, senior investigating officer.
He added, “There is no immediate risk to the wider community. A scene guard remains in place, and residents can expect increased police activity.”
Next of kin have been informed and are receiving support. Officers will also carry out door-to-door visits to reassure local residents.
