Met Police Launch Murder Probe as Missing Man’s Fate Looks Grim

Justin Henry’s Disappearance Takes Dark Turn

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police’s Specialist Crime Command have opened a murder investigation into the disappearance of 34-year-old Justin Henry. His family, devastated by the latest developments, are receiving specialist support as officers probe the case.

Detective Chief Inspector Matt Wood broke the grim news to Mr Henry’s family. “We understand how heartbreaking this is,” he said. “While hope remains, the lack of any signs Justin is alive, combined with the suspicious circumstances, raises fears he has been seriously harmed.”

Last Seen in Brixton Before Mysterious Movements

Justin was last seen on the evening of October 15 at his partner’s home in Brixton. CCTV caught him at a McDonald’s drive-thru in Croydon just before 10pm, where he bought food. He then drove his silver Mercedes E Class to Waddon New Road, parking there for over two hours. The car was later found abandoned on Kingswood Drive, SE19, in the early hours of October 18. It remains unknown who was behind the wheel — Justin’s family say it wasn’t him.

Police Urge Public to Come Forward

A 27-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of kidnap but released on bail until January 2024. Detectives have scoured CCTV, phone records, and conducted forensic searches at a Croydon address and the Mercedes. Despite these efforts, crucial answers remain out of reach.

Detective Wood pleaded with anyone with information to help bring justice. “No detail is too small,” he said. “Think of the pain Justin’s family is going through. Please come forward.”
