Emergency crews rushed to a property in Bayencourt South, Bexhill, just after 10pm on Wednesday, February 12. Despite desperate attempts by paramedics and police, the 58-year-old victim died at the scene.

Sussex Police confirmed the victim’s family have been informed and are receiving specialist support.

Two arrested in shocking stabbing

A 39-year-old woman from Bexhill was arrested on suspicion of murder. A 32-year-old local man was also detained, suspected of assisting an offender. Both remain in police custody as the investigation heats up.

“Our thoughts are with the victim’s family and friends following this tragic incident, and the family ask that they are given privacy at this time,” said Detective Chief Inspector Campbell, leading the inquiry.
