Woman Fatally Stabbed in Bradford City Centre
West Yorkshire Police have launched a murder probe after a woman was stabbed in broad daylight in Bradford city centre on Saturday, 6 April.
Stabbing at Busy Westgate Spot
Police rushed to Westgate at the junction with Drewton Road at 3:21pm following reports of a stabbing. A man attacked a woman and then fled the scene. The 27-year-old victim was rushed to hospital but sadly died from her injuries.
Her identity has not yet been officially confirmed. Her family has been informed and is receiving support from specially trained officers.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Chief Inspector Stacey Atkinson said: “This is a shocking incident in a busy area of Bradford, witnessed by many. A young woman has lost her life in terrible circumstances. We have extensive enquiries ongoing to find and arrest the man responsible.”
“We know this will cause concern locally. I want to reassure the public we are working tirelessly to bring the culprit to justice.
“Anyone with dashcam footage or any information, no matter how small, should come forward.”
“Road closures remain in place while enquiries continue and we thank the public for their patience.”
