Moped Rider Shot Dead in Broad Daylight Attack in Haringey
Tragic Shooting Shakes Quiet Street
Police were called to Constable Crescent, N15 at 5pm on Monday, 3 July, after reports of an injured man. Officers arrived alongside London Ambulance Service paramedics to find an 18-year-old seriously hurt.
Despite desperate attempts to save him, the young man was pronounced dead at the scene. His family have been informed and are receiving specialist support. A post mortem will be carried out soon, with formal identification awaited.
Victim Shot While Riding Moped by Suspect on E-Scooter
Investigators believe the victim was riding a moped when he was shot by a suspect on an e-scooter along nearby Stamford Road. The injured man continued riding before swerving into Constable Crescent, where his moped collided with a parked car and he collapsed.
The suspect, described as a black male in his late teens or early twenties, fled the scene heading away from Stamford Road.
Police Launch Manhunt and Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Chief Inspector Dave Whellams, Specialist Crime North said: “My thoughts are with the family and friends of this young man who has lost his life in devastating circumstances. This shocking attack happened on a residential street in broad daylight.”
“Officers are working round the clock to find the culprit and bring them to justice. We urge anyone with information to come forward. No detail is too small. If you prefer, contact Crimestoppers anonymously.”
No arrests have been made so far.

Detective Chief Superintendent Caroline Haines, lead for policing in Haringey, said: “This tragic loss hits our borough hard and worries many residents. The investigation team is working tirelessly to uncover what happened and identify the person responsible.”
