Daytime Stabbing Horror: 22-Year-Old Killed in Brixton

Detectives are hunting for answers after 22-year-old Keelen Morris Wong was fatally stabbed on a busy Brixton street. His family have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers.

Deadly Attack on Coldharbour Lane

The shocking stabbing happened at 4.44pm on Tuesday, 3 October, when police were called to Coldharbour Lane. Emergency services rushed to the scene and found Keelen with a serious knife wound. Sadly, despite their efforts, he died at the scene.

A post-mortem is scheduled for today (5 October) to shed more light on the circumstances surrounding his death.

Suspect in Custody After Hospital Arrest

On the evening of the attack, a 23-year-old man handed himself in at a hospital and was arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody while receiving treatment.

Police Plea and Community Shock

Detective Inspector Kevin Martin said: “This was a serious attack in broad daylight. We have made an arrest and are making progress, but we urge anyone with information to come forward – your details will be kept confidential.”

He also appealed to the public to stop sharing videos of the incident out of respect for Keelen’s family.

Superintendent Gabriel Cameron added: “Our thoughts are with Keelen’s family at this tragic time. The whole community is shocked.”
