Woman Assaulted in Eastbourne Night Horror – Police Hunt Witnesses

Attack Sparks Panic Through Eastbourne’s Old Town

Police are urgently seeking information after a woman was assaulted while walking through Eastbourne’s Old Town late on Tuesday night. The attack took place between 10.30pm and 11.30pm on October 25.

The victim had just left The Star Inn near Upperton Road and was heading towards the town centre when the ordeal began.

Good Samaritans Step In, One Possibly Targeted

The assault continued through The Goffs and onto Hartfield Road. Officers revealed at least two motorists, including a possible taxi driver, stopped to offer help. The taxi driver may have also been assaulted during the incident.

Suspect Arrested but Released on Bail

A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm but has since been bailed pending further investigation.

Police Call for Witnesses and Footage

Sussex Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the attack or has CCTV and dashcam footage from the area to come forward.
