Detectives in Leeds have launched a murder probe after a 16-year-old girl was found badly injured and later died.
Tragedy in Austhorpe: Teen Dies After Early Morning Attack
Chloe Watson, a 16-year-old from Cleckheaton, was discovered with severe injuries on Kennerleigh Avenue, Austhorpe, just before 6am on Saturday, March 28. Rushed to hospital, she sadly passed away despite efforts to save her.
Her devastated family have been informed and are being supported by specially-trained officers.
Four People Arrested Over Chloe’s Death
West Yorkshire Police have arrested four suspects linked to the tragedy. In custody are two 18-year-old women, a 19-year-old man, and a 17-year-old boy.
Detective Chief Superintendent Marc Bowes said: “Following our appeal for information yesterday, we have identified the deceased as a 16-year-old from Cleckheaton. Her family have been informed and are being supported as they come to terms with this tragedy.”
“Our enquiries into the circumstances of her death are ongoing. We again urge anyone who was in the Kennerleigh Avenue area early Saturday morning to come forward with any information.”
