New CCTV Released After Brutal Tunbridge Wells Robbery
Detectives have unleashed fresh CCTV images in a hunt for thugs who seriously injured a man in Tunbridge Wells.
Victim Attacked and Robbed in Broad Daylight
The victim, a man in his 20s, was walking along Mount Pleasant Road at 11:35pm on Sunday, 15 August 2021, when he was verbally abused by three young men. The gang followed him into Calverley Grounds and brutally punched and kicked him. They rifled through his pockets, stealing a lighter and tobacco.
Despite his injuries, the victim escaped and alerted police. He sustained serious facial wounds requiring specialist treatment.
Police Seek Public Help After Partial Arrest
Last year, officers arrested a teenage boy linked to the attack, but he was released pending further inquiries.
PC Lily MacKay of Tonbridge CID said: ‘We issued a previous appeal last September but have since recovered clearer images of a person who may be able to assist with our enquiries. I would urge anyone who recognises him to contact our appeal line.’
