In a Tel Aviv briefing, Israeli Defence Forces spokesman Daniel Hagari revealed that “dozens of terrorists” linked to Hamas’s “tactical command” were killed in Sunday’s air raids on Gaza. The strikes aim to dismantle the “terrorist infrastructure” and protect Israeli ground troops sent into the strip. Hagari stressed how complex the ground operation is and the priority placed on troop safety.

Hagari condemned Hamas militants for war crimes, accusing them of hiding behind Palestinian civilians by using schools and hospitals as cover. He blasted their ruthless tactics and blatant disregard for innocent lives.

Meanwhile, protests against Israel’s Gaza offensive forced the closure of Makhachkala airport in Russia after demonstrators stormed the runway. Flights were diverted, but no injuries or arrests have been reported. Israel’s ambassador in Moscow is liaising with Russian officials to defuse the situation.
Biden Calls for Humanitarian Aid and Civilian Protection
US President Joe Biden urged Israel to boost humanitarian aid in Gaza while reaffirming its right to protect citizens from terrorism. He emphasised protecting civilians under international law and praised Egypt’s role in facilitating aid deliveries during talks with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
