Knife Threat at Earley Train Station: Teen Held at Knifepoint
A 17-year-old boy was threatened with a knife and robbed near Earley train station at lunchtime on Thursday (11/11).
Two Teens Demand Phone and Gilet
The victim was approached by two teenage offenders at the junction of Compton Close and Station Road. They asked to borrow his phone. When he asked for it back, one offender pulled a knife and refused to return it. The pair then forced the boy to hand over his gilet before fleeing the scene.
Thankfully, the teenager was not hurt during the ordeal.
Suspects Described as Masked Teens
- Both offenders are Asian males, around 16 years old, wearing face masks.
- The main suspect, who stole the phone, is slim, about 6ft 1in tall.
- He wore black Adidas tracksuit bottoms and a black hoodie.
Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up
Detective Constable Dennis Hicks said: “I am appealing for anyone who saw this incident or has any information about what happened to please come forward. This happened close to the train station at around lunchtime and so I believe that members of the public, both pedestrians and cyclists, may have seen what happened.”
