Two Sussex Cops Fired Over Shocking Misconduct
Two Sussex police officers have been axed without warning after a serious misconduct hearing. Sergeant Victoria Ambrose, 46, and PC David Mendes, 46, faced a six-day grilling at 1 Headquarters in Lewes. The hearing wrapped up with both officers dismissed on 123 misconduct charges.
Zero Tolerance for Police Misconduct
Chief Superintendent Steve Rayland, who heads Sussex Police’s Professional Standards Department, made it clear the behaviour won’t be tolerated. He said:
“The unacceptable conduct shown by these officers undermines public trust. The vast majority of Sussex Police officers, staff, and volunteers work tirelessly to uphold the Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Behaviour.”
This swift action sends a strong message that Sussex Police is serious about maintaining integrity and professionalism within its ranks.
