Cambridge United Fan Dies Years After Brutal Football Assault
Simon, a devoted Cambridge United supporter, suffered permanent brain damage after a savage attack on East Street following the Cambridge vs Southend United match on 21 March 2015. Thirteen individuals were convicted and sentenced for their part in the violent fracas.

Police Launch New Investigation
Acting Detective Superintendent Stephen Jennings vowed: “We will now carry out an investigation to see if we can directly and evidentially show who was responsible for his death.” Authorities are determined to bring further justice for Simon and his family.
