Hate Crime Shock: Swastika Scrawled on Tower Hamlets Restaurant

Late on Tuesday night, Tower Hamlets was rocked by a chilling hate crime. Just after 11.30pm on 7 May, police were called to a food producer and restaurant on Stour Road, E3, after three vandals sprayed a swastika on the building.

Three Vandals Caught on Camera, But Still At Large

The suspects, all clad in dark clothing, included one on a bicycle and two on foot. They fled towards the canal via Dace Road. No arrests have been made yet, but police are on the hunt.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

“We’ve taken this report extremely seriously and are appealing for anyone who may have seen three people in the Stour Road area around the time of the incident to get in touch with us,” said Detective Sergeant Fran Latham of the Central East Safeguarding team.

“We believe the premises may have been specifically targeted and behaviour such as this will not be tolerated.”
