Shocking ATM Scam at Lloyds Bank

A man in his 60s was brazenly robbed at an ATM outside Lloyds Bank on High Street at 12:50pm on Wednesday, 2 February 2022.

Thugs Increase Withdrawal, Then Bolt with Cash

While the victim was using the cash machine, two suspects allegedly assaulted him, fiddled with the amount he was withdrawing, and snatched the cash dispensed. They then made a quick escape towards Manor Road.

Suspects Spotted in Tracksuits

  • One suspect wore an Adidas tracksuit with white stripes and white trainers.
  • The other was dressed head-to-toe in a black tracksuit and black trainers.

Police Issue Urgent Appeal

PC George Shokar of Medway CID urged, “We are combing through CCTV and calling on witnesses or anyone with info to come forward.”

“If you have dashcam or private CCTV footage from the area, please check it for anything suspicious.”

“Remember, always watch your back when using ATMs, making sure no one is hovering when you enter your PIN or withdraw cash.”
