Police Launch Hunt for Woman Linked to Horror Home Invasion
Officers have released an E-fit image of a woman they want to question following a terrifying aggravated burglary in a quiet neighbourhood.
Masked Men Raid Family Home
At 2.07pm on Friday, 31 January, police rushed to a property on Taywood Road after reports of a brutal break-in. A woman knocked on the front door first, distracting the victim. Then three men, all wearing balaclavas and masks, stormed inside.
Child Threatened with Screwdriver
One intruder brandished a screwdriver and threatened to kill the victim’s young child if valuables weren’t handed over straight away. The gang fled with cash and jewellery. Thankfully, no one was physically hurt, but the family remain traumatised.
Police Appeal for Help
Detective Sergeant Neil Hudson said: “Thankfully both victims weren’t physically harmed but they have been left terribly distraught by the callous actions of these people. The incident is even more disturbing by the fact that a young boy was threatened with a weapon during the attack. I urge anyone who recognises this woman to contact us immediately.”
