Paedophile Michael Henderson Jailed for Horrific Child Abuse and Indecent Images
Michael Anthony Henderson, 32, was caught after police uncovered his online forum accounts discussing child abuse. Hampshire Police’s Internet Child Abuse Team launched a probe that ended with a raid, seizing laptops, phones, and a Kindle loaded with vile content.
Shocking Evidence Found on Multiple Devices
At Isle of Wight Crown Court, details emerged that Henderson had a huge stash of indecent images on his gadgets. Many were viewed online, but worst of all – some showed Henderson himself sexually abusing a child.
Guilty on Multiple Counts—Facing a Decade Behind Bars
Following a trial, Henderson was convicted on four counts of sexual assault on a child and five counts of taking indecent images. He also pleaded guilty to three counts of distributing indecent images, four counts of possession, one count of possessing prohibited images, and one of possessing extreme pornography.
On January 15, he was slapped with a ten-year jail sentence.
Police Praise Team Efforts, Urge Victims to Speak Out
“The images found on Henderson’s devices are unquestionably amongst the worst I have seen,” said DS Claire Lyons, lead investigator. “This sentence takes a dangerous offender off the streets. The sexual abuse of children causes unfathomable damage, and I hope this sentence provides some justice for the victim and their family.”
“We take every report of sexual assault extremely seriously and will do all we can to catch offenders. Survivors and families deserve support, and we work closely with partner organisations to make sure they get it,” DS Lyons added.
Police urge anyone affected by sexual abuse to come forward—help is available, and justice will be pursued relentlessly.
