Elderly Man Attacked on Central Line Train – Hunt on for Suspects

Just before 9pm on Sunday 4 July, an elderly man was travelling on a Central line train between Bethnal Green and Redbridge when trouble struck.

Man Shouts Threat Then Strikes

A man seated nearby suddenly shouted, “What are you looking at?” before punching the victim in the face. The victim looked away, but the attacker didn’t stop there.

Suspects Flee at Stratford Station

The man, accompanied by two women, fled onto Stratford station immediately after the assault.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

British Transport Police (BTP) are hunting the suspects and believe the people in the released images could hold vital clues. If you recognise these individuals or have any information, contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40. Quote reference 587 of 04/07/21.
