Plain Clothes Police Nab Two Suspected Drug Dealers in Bestwood Bust
Officers swooped on a Bestwood address and bagged two suspected dealers during a covert operation. They seized stacks of suspected heroin, cocaine, cannabis, cash, and drug paraphernalia.
Electric Bike Drop-Off Sparks Police Move
City North Operation Reacher team had their eye on a house in Belleville Drive, acting on intelligence linking it to drug dealings. When a suspect rode up on an electric bike and dropped off a backpack, officers sprang into action.
The rider tried to make a run for it but was stopped quickly. Searches uncovered over a dozen wraps stuffed with suspected heroin and cocaine, plus cash. A roadside drug wipe came back positive for cannabis and cocaine.
Back-Up Teams Find Prison Recall Suspect and More Drugs
While the rider was detained, other officers entered the property. Inside, they found a wanted man on recall to prison. They also uncovered a backpack full of cannabis, cash, weighing scales, cannabis edibles, and several burner phones.
Two Men Arrested on Multiple Drug and Driving Offences
- A 29-year-old was arrested for possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs and recalled to prison.
- A 23-year-old was nabbed for possession with intent to supply drugs, drug-driving, riding without a helmet, driving without a licence, and no insurance.
Chief Inspector Chris Pearson said: “By deploying plain clothes officers the way we did, we moved swiftly to stop drug activity and apprehended two suspects. We took a significant amount of Class A and B drugs off the streets that could have caused harm. This shows just how effective our plain clothes operations and Operation Reacher teams are in tackling community crime. Nottinghamshire Police will not tolerate dealers pushing drugs in our neighbourhoods and will act decisively when we get any intelligence.”
