Police are hunting for witnesses after a deadly collision outside Morrison’s on Spruce Drive, Totton.

At 11.59am on Thursday 12 July, a Peugeot 206 careered into two pedestrians in the supermarket car park. The victims, both women from Chandler’s Ford, were rushed to southampton/" title="Southampton" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Southampton General Hospital.

Victims Suffer Serious Injuries

  • An 86-year-old woman later died in hospital despite emergency care.
  • A 22-year-old woman remains in hospital with life-changing injuries.
  • The 76-year-old Peugeot driver from Totton escaped with minor injuries and is also receiving treatment.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Officers are piecing together how the crash happened. They urge anyone who saw the incident to call police on 101, quoting Operation Didlum.

“Next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers,” police confirmed.
