Broad Daylight Robbery Shocks Wood Green

Police are hunting two men who brazenly robbed a victim on Perth Road, Wood Green, in broad daylight earlier this week.

Snatched Phone in Front of Witnesses

The robbery happened around 5:20pm on Wednesday, 19 March 2025. The victim was walking along Perth Road when two men on bicycles targeted him.

Reports say the suspects were waiting on their bikes. One tailed the victim, snatched his phone, then sped off.

Suspect Descriptions Released

  • Suspect 1: White male, about 5’9”, light brown hair. Wearing a black hoodie, black trousers, and black trainers.
  • Suspect 2: Black male, around 5’5”, black hair. Dressed in a dark grey jacket with white fur hood, grey trousers, and white shoes.

Both fled on black bicycles. One of the bikes was confirmed to be electric.

  • Suspect 1 headed towards White Hart Lane.
  • Suspect 2 rode off in the direction of Lordship Lane.

Police Appeal as CCTV Images Emerge

Images show one suspect riding a black electric bicycle down a residential street shortly after the theft. The footage is from CCTV or taken by a witness.

Investigation Underway

Police are reviewing CCTV and carrying out inquiries. Locals are urged to stay alert and report anything suspicious.

“We take this type of street robbery very seriously and are conducting a thorough investigation,” said a Metropolitan Police spokesperson. “Anyone in the area at the time, or who recognises the suspects or bikes, should come forward.”
