Kent Police are hunting witnesses after a car window was smashed during a brazen daytime assault at Dover’s Charlton Green Road Retail Park. The incident happened around 3pm on Saturday, 26 April 2025, in one of the town’s most popular shopping spots.

The suspect, described as a man on a push bike, confronted the parked vehicle and had a brief exchange with its occupants. Things quickly turned nasty when the cyclist reportedly struck the car’s side window with a blunt object, shattering the glass and causing minor injuries to a passenger inside.

Police Launch Urgent Public Appeal

Kent Police are now urging anyone who saw the incident—or has dashcam or CCTV footage from the area—to come forward. A spokesperson said:

“We are investigating a serious case of criminal damage and assault that occurred in a busy public area. We are asking members of the public who were in or around the Charlton Green Road Retail Park at the time to check any dashcam or mobile footage they may have.”
