Lincolnshire Police are on high alert following a creepy encounter in Alford where a suspicious man tried to handcuff a young boy. The disturbing incident happened on Hamilton Road around 5.20pm on Thursday, July 13.

Ginger Man in Hi-Vis Jacket Targets Kids

The suspect is described as a ginger-haired man, about 50 years old, wearing a high-visibility jacket. Witnesses say he approached two young lads and alarmingly managed to put handcuffs on the youngest child. It’s believed he was pretending to be a police officer to fool the kids.

Quick-Thinking Mum Chases Off Stranger

Thankfully, the boy’s mother spotted what was going on and intervened, forcing the imposter to dash from the scene. Police are taking the case very seriously and have launched a full investigation.

Police Urge Public to Help Identify Suspect

The force is desperate for information. They want anyone who saw a man matching this description, or who has CCTV footage from the area at the time, to come forward immediately. Even the smallest tip could be crucial.
