A woman suffered injuries after a shocking assault inside a parked black Peugeot in Mortimer Street, Herne Bay. The violent incident took place between 6pm and 7pm on Monday 27 March 2023. The victim had just opened the car door when a man, reportedly known to her and standing nearby, launched a savage punching attack.

Officers arrested a 32-year-old Herne Bay man on Wednesday 29 March in connection with the assault. He was taken into custody as police continue their investigation.
