Waterlooville Woman Killed in Horror A3 Crash – Police Hunt Witnesses
Police are urgently seeking witnesses after a tragic fatal collision on the A3 last night claimed the life of a young Waterlooville woman.
Horrific Crash on A3 Near Clanfield
At 11.05pm, officers were called to the southbound carriageway of the A3 near Clanfield. A white Vauxhall Corsa, driven by a 22-year-old woman from Waterlooville, had left the road and flipped onto its roof on the nearside verge. Despite emergency response, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Man Arrested Over Crash
A 26-year-old man from Portsmouth, driving a black Ford Focus, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving. He is also suspected of driving over the legal drug limit. Police say he is cooperating with the investigation.
Crucially, officers have found no evidence yet that the two vehicles collided with each other.
