Tragedy on Ironworks Road: Elderly Driver Dies in Solo Crash
Police are probing a fatal single-vehicle smash on Ironworks Road, Barrow. The horror unfolded around 3:50pm on May 20.
An 81-year-old local man was behind the wheel of a blue Peugeot 208 when the collision happened. He was rushed to Furness General Hospital but, heartbreakingly, later died.
Road Shut for Hours During Investigation
Ironworks Road shut down for four hours while forensic experts scoured the scene. Police want anyone with info to come forward.
