Woman Attacked in Denmark Street on Clock Change Night – Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Attack Occurs in Early Hours of October 30
Between 3.30 and 4.30am on Sunday, October 30 – the night the clocks went back – a woman in her 20s was attacked while walking home alone after a night out with friends at a nearby bar.
Police Hunt Dashcam and Mobile Footage
Several pedestrians and drivers passed the scene during the assault. Detectives are keen to hear from anyone who was on Denmark Street at the time, especially those with dashcam or mobile phone footage that could aid the investigation.
Suspect Description Released – Police Ask Public to Help
Officers want to identify a man seen in the area during the incident. He is described as:
- Late 20s to early 30s
- Approximately 5ft 7ins tall
Detective Sergeant Toby Hayes of Operation Bluestone, the specialist team handling the case, said:
“We’ve referred the woman to specialist support and are conducting a thorough investigation while being sensitive to her trauma. This appeal is just one line of enquiry, but anyone who was on Denmark Street between 3.30 and 4.30am could hold vital information.”
