Brazen Burglars Swipe Sentimental Valuables in Nottingham Raid
Thieves smashed their way into a Nottingham home, making off with priceless sentimental jewellery and cash. Police have released images of stolen items, hoping the public can help track down the crooks and return the precious goods.
Lock Snapped, Drawers Ransacked
On Tuesday, December 6, burglars used special equipment to break the lock and handle of a rear patio door on Grassington Road. The break-in happened between 1pm and 5pm. Inside, the raiders trashed the living room and two bedrooms, pulling out drawers and hurling them to the floor.
Priceless Heirlooms Among Stolen Loot
- A Sekonda Jewel automatic silver watch with a white face, belonging to the homeowner’s late father
- A pair of matching gold wedding bands
- A Pandora bracelet with around 14 charms, including a special 50th charm
- Other jewellery and cash
Police Plea to Snitch on Heartless Thieves
“This has caused huge distress, with sentimental jewellery taken that holds immense personal value,” said Detective Constable Eliot Longdon. “No one should return home to find their house ransacked. We’re working flat out to catch those responsible.”
“Forensic teams are on the case, and we urge anyone with information or who’s seen the stolen items offered for sale to come forward. That watch holds treasured memories, left by her late father.”
