Shock as 101 Dead Lambs Dumped on Radlett Farm

More than 100 dead lambs were callously dumped in a field at Hill Farm, Radlett. The grim discovery happened between 3pm on Thursday, 7 April, and 3.45pm on Friday, 8 April. The lambs were dumped in bags, sparking outrage in the local rural community.

Police Hunt Dumpers Using ‘Kemprow’ Road

PC Mike Morris from the Bushey and Radlett Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “This incident has understandably caused some concern. We want to find out where the lambs came from and who did this.”

He believes the culprit likely used Kemprow road to access the farm. PC Morris urges anyone who saw suspicious activity to come forward immediately.

Flytipping or Something More Sinister?

PC Richard Donbavand from Hertfordshire Constabulary’s Rural Operational Support Team (ROST) said the case is currently being treated as flytipping. He added:

“We think a vehicle like a flat-bed truck or box van was used to dump the lambs. Anyone who saw such a vehicle in the area between the stated times should contact police.

He also reassured local farmers, saying the police are working with the National Farmers’ Union. Farmers worried about their land security are encouraged to reach out to the ROST team at 123 – quote crime reference 41/27785/22.
