Tragic Crash on Lee High Road Claims Motorcyclist’s Life
A serious collision on Lee High Road ended in tragedy after a 29-year-old motorcyclist was fatally injured.
Motorcyclist Succumbs to Injuries
Officers were called at 11:32am on Monday, 11 November, following reports of a collision at the junction with Burnt Ash Lane. London’s Air Ambulance rushed to the scene and found the man with severe injuries after crashing into a car.
He was rushed to a central London hospital but died the next day, Tuesday, 12 November. His next of kin have been informed.
Car Driver Flees but Is Caught
The driver of the car failed to stop and tried to flee the scene. Police stopped the vehicle shortly afterwards. The 21-year-old female driver was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop at the scene of a collision.
She was taken to a south London police station but later released under investigation.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Officers are urging anyone with information or dash-cam footage to come forward.
