Tragic Crash on Blind Foot Road Claims Life of 31-Year-Old Man
Just after 10am GMT today, emergency services rushed to the scene of a serious collision involving a Renault Scenic and a Nissan Almera at the junction of Blind Foot Road and Mossborough Road.
One Dead, Two Seriously Injured
The driver of the Nissan, a 31-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed and is receiving support from specially trained officers.
The Renault’s driver and passenger, a man and a woman, sustained serious injuries but doctors do not believe their conditions are life-threatening.
Police Launch Urgent Investigation
Merseyside Police’s Roads Policing Unit is leading the inquiry. Sergeant Simon Duffy said: “Our thoughts and condolences are with the family of the driver who very sadly passed away.”
He added: “The investigation is in its early stages. We urgently appeal to anyone who was around Blind Foot Road or Mossborough Road at the time and witnessed anything or captured footage on dash cam to come forward.”
