Gunshots Rattle Halcyon Way: Car Targeted in Late Evening Attack
A car was blasted with what appears to be gunfire on Halcyon Way at around 9:46pm on Thursday, 26 November.
Though the vehicle sustained serious damage, no one was injured in the terrifying incident.
Suspects Flee, Leave Burnt-Out Car Behind
The attackers fled the scene in a car, which police later found torched and abandoned.
A police cordon remains in place as officers probe the crime.
Police Appeal for Witnesses After Targeted Shooting
Detective Chief Inspector Sharron Kaye said: “Incidents involving firearms cause a significant amount of distress and concern for the local communities. We do believe this was a targeted incident.
“High visibility patrols have been deployed into the area today and over the weekend to provide reassurance to the local community.
“I would urge anyone who was in the area and witnessed anything suspicious to come forward and speak with police to assist with our ongoing enquiries.”
