Terrifying Moment Man Tries to Grab Teen Girl in Winchester
At 4.56pm on Thursday 2 September, a 15-year-old girl narrowly escaped an attempted grab on Middle Brook Street, Winchester. The brave teen dodged the attacker and sprinted towards Iceland, while the suspect fled the scene towards North Walls.
Suspect on the Run
The man is described as 6ft tall, slim but muscular, with brownish eyes. He was dressed head-to-toe in black – a hoodie with a zip, tracksuit bottoms, a balaclava, and Nike Air Max trainers.
Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up
Chief Inspector Jon Turton, Winchester district commander, addressed the growing concern: “We know that the details of this incident will cause concern for people in the local area. We would like to reassure you that we are taking this incident very seriously and our officers are investigating and trying to establish exactly what happened.”
