Security Van Driver Targeted in Daylight Attack at Mansfield Road BP
Two brazen men tried to snatch a cash box from a security van driver outside a BP garage on Mansfield Road, Woodthorpe, just after 2.40pm today (4 November).
The driver fought them off, and the robbers fled empty-handed in a waiting black car.
Police Nab Three Suspects in Staffordshire
Officers quickly identified the getaway vehicle and stopped it in Staffordshire. Three men inside were arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery.
Detective Calls for Witnesses to Step Forward
Detective Constable Agnes Wakenhut of Nottinghamshire Police said: “This was a serious incident and our investigation remains at an early stage. A key witness was close to the offenders during the attack. We urgently need her account, as well as any other witnesses, to get in touch by calling 101 and quoting incident 388 of 4 November.”
