Fire crews raced to the scene shortly after 11:30pm on Sunday, 25 September, after a fire broke out during a party. Police and ambulance services were called in to back up the major response.

Mass Evacuation but No Serious Injuries

Detective Inspector Dave Pebworth revealed over 120 guests had to be evacuated amid the chaos. Luckily, no one suffered serious injuries.

“A major response from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue stopped this fire from turning fatal. However, there was a serious amount of damage and disruption. Those responsible must be found,” he said.
