Armed Police Swarm Lambeth After Copycat Gun Battle
Armed officers from the Met swooped on Coldharbour Lane, Lambeth, late Thursday night following reports of a shooting. The incident echoed a deadly shoot-out on Railton Road that left two people dead just days earlier.
Gunfire Sparks Major Police Response
At around 10pm on November 24th, police were called to Coldharbour Lane after reports of suspected gunfire. Specialist armed units quickly secured the scene and launched a hunt for those involved.
Police have set up tight cordons, with a vehicle linked to the gun battle now under guard. So far, no arrests have been made and, luckily, no injuries have been reported.
Road Closures Bring Transport Chaos
The road is shut in both directions at the junction with Somerleyton Road. Local bus services have been hit hard, forced to divert while investigations continue.
The Met say more details will be released as the probe unfolds.
