Police Appeal for Witnesses
“I’d like to thank those who’ve already come forward,” said investigating officer DC Julie Way. “We’re not linking this robbery to other crimes locally. It happened at night in wet, windy weather when few people were about.”
“We’re still trying to find out if the weapon was a real handgun or a fake. Thankfully nobody was injured. We want to trace a man and woman who were in the store shortly before the robbery. They may hold key info or have spotted discarded clothing nearby.”
If you have any information, contact Gosport police immediately.
