A grim discovery was made early Saturday morning after a man was found dead inside a house on Nelson Drive, Cowes. Police say the death is currently being treated as unexplained but not suspicious.

The alarm was raised over welfare concerns, prompting police and Isle of Wight fire crews to force entry shortly after 6:50am. Officers and firefighters made the chilling find inside the property. The road remains cordoned off, but local residents can move around freely.

Scene Being Examined, No Foul Play Suspected

Forensic teams are combing the scene to rule out any foul play. A Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police spokesperson confirmed: “A cordon has been put in place since this morning and officers will remain in the Nelson Drive area while investigations continue.” Fire crews left the scene just after 9am.
