Drug Raid Nets Cannabis and Cash in Eastwood

The Broxtowe Operation Reacher team, backed by neighbourhood officers, swooped on a Manor Road address in Eastwood on Tuesday (13 December 2022). A man and two women inside were searched as police conducted a thorough hunt of the property.

The crackdown uncovered hundreds of pounds in cash, multiple mobile phones, and a stash of cannabis. Despite the haul, no arrests were made. Officers say enquiries are ongoing following the raid.

Fighting Back Against Drug Crime

Sergeant Andy Foulds of the Broxtowe Operation Reacher Team stressed the force’s commitment to tackling drug supply and its link to wider criminal networks. He said:

“We remain determined to disrupt drug supply and criminal activity which blights our communities and harms vulnerable people.

“Drug dealing often fuels serious organised crime and funds other offences, including the exploitation of vulnerable people – something we are duty bound to prevent.

“We’ll continue to do all we can to keep people safe and remove harmful drugs from our streets.

“As this latest operation shows, we will use every power at our disposal to pursue those suspected of drug crime and bring them to justice.”
