Four-Year-Old Cleo Believed Abducted from Remote Campsite Near Carnarvon

Forensic teams are digging deep in the hunt for missing four-year-old Cleo, who vanished from a tent while camping with her family at a remote site north of Carnarvon. Investigators were spotted collecting soil samples from campfires near local shacks as they chase every lead.

Forensics Raid Family Home and Campsite

Officers didn’t stop at the campsite. They returned to Cleo’s family home in Carnarvon for several hours, combing through the property and checking the family’s car and phones. Acting Police Commissioner Col Blanch stressed the parents’ full cooperation, dismissing any suspicions.

“I must be very clear, so that people don’t make assumptions on this. That is standard practice in any investigation. We must do a thorough investigation, the parents have been nothing but helpful,” Blanch said. “They’ve let us into their home, let us into their car, phones, everything. That is a normal part of investigation and we must follow it through thoroughly.”

Crucial Car Sighting at 3am Under Police Scrutiny

Police are chasing a key sighting: a car spotted around 3am heading south on the coastal highway from Blowholes Road the same morning Cleo went missing. While not naming a suspect, Blanch admitted the timing and location raise serious questions.

“It’s not to say we’re saying that is the person. But, certainly, driving around at 3.00, coming out of there would pique our interest,” he said.

Urgent Call for CCTV from Carnarvon Businesses and Locals

WA Police have renewed their push for local businesses and anyone near the area to hand over CCTV footage from around the time of Cleo’s disappearance on October 16.

A police spokesperson confirmed many videos have come in but warned several businesses are yet to cooperate. Detectives believe vital clues could be hidden in unseen footage.

If you were in Carnarvon or close by that night, police urge you to step forward and help bring Cleo home.
