Students Targeted as Vandals Smash Their Common Room Twice

At least four thugs broke into a student common room on Faraday Road, Lenton, around 10.15pm on 26 October. They left minutes later, taking nothing but leaving a damaged door behind.

Vandals Strike Again Days Later

Shockingly, the same gang returned on 2 November and forced their way back in, wrecking the door once more. Yet again, nothing was stolen. The mystery attackers have left students shaken.

Police Hunt Suspect After Repeat Attacks

A photo of a man linked to the break-ins has now been released by Nottinghamshire Police. Sgt Neil Langham said:

“A door inside the student accommodation was severely damaged during these incidents, which impacted both those living there and those tasked with maintaining the common room too.

“Criminal damage is a serious offence that can, as demonstrated here, affect people in a multitude of ways, whether that be financial or from an emotional standpoint.”
