Students Targeted as Vandals Smash Their Common Room Twice
At least four thugs broke into a student common room on Faraday Road, Lenton, around 10.15pm on 26 October. They left minutes later, taking nothing but leaving a damaged door behind.
Vandals Strike Again Days Later
Shockingly, the same gang returned on 2 November and forced their way back in, wrecking the door once more. Yet again, nothing was stolen. The mystery attackers have left students shaken.
Police Hunt Suspect After Repeat Attacks
A photo of a man linked to the break-ins has now been released by Nottinghamshire Police. Sgt Neil Langham said:
“A door inside the student accommodation was severely damaged during these incidents, which impacted both those living there and those tasked with maintaining the common room too.
“Criminal damage is a serious offence that can, as demonstrated here, affect people in a multitude of ways, whether that be financial or from an emotional standpoint.”
Police urge anyone recognising the man to come forward. You can call 101 quoting incident 147 of 27 October 2022, or call anonymously on 0800 555 111.
