In the early hours of June 9, 2019, a 40-year-old man was savagely attacked at his home on Harland Street, Ipswich. Suffolk Police revealed the victim suffered severe head and facial injuries, along with internal abdominal pain.
Victim Dies After Long Battle
The injured man was rushed to hospital but tragically died in 2021 after a lengthy struggle with his injuries.
Suspect Nabbed After Two-Year Hunt
Police have been on the case since 2019. Yesterday, 30-year-old Edgars Slavinkski from Ipswich was arrested at Stansted Airport. He now faces charges of murder and attempting to pervert the course of public justice.
Legal Proceedings Underway
Slavinkski appeared before Ipswich Magistrates and was remanded in custody pending further proceedings.
