Knife Attack Shocks Southsea Canoe Lake Car Park
Chaos erupted at 5:10pm in the Canoe Lake Car Park next to Southsea Model Village when a violent knife attack unfolded in front of stunned onlookers.
Violent Row Ends in Stabbing
Police say a car pulled into the car park carrying two men and a woman. The pair of men quickly sparked a heated argument. Suddenly, one man pulled a knife and slashed the other across the neck, leaving him bleeding on the ground.
The attacker then jumped back in the car and sped off, leaving the injured man alone and gravely hurt.
Emergency Services Rush to Scene
Paramedics from South Central Ambulance Service arrived swiftly, treating the victim before rushing him to hospital for life-saving care.
An eyewitness described the horror: “I was terrified for my own safety when I saw the knife. The man looked so angry. Seeing him slash that man’s neck was chilling — I’ve never witnessed anything like it.”
Police Seal Off Area, Hunt Ongoing
Officers from Hampshire Constabulary swarmed the car park, with around ten police cars seen and a cordon placed around the east end. Police will remain on site overnight and maintain a high presence as the investigation continues.
