Damien Heagney, 47, was last spotted in the Dromore area near 1 in the early hours between December 30 and 31, 2021. He was reported missing on July 19 this year, leaving friends and family desperate for answers.
Police Launch Murder Probe as Man Arrested
In a dramatic turn, a 50-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following a search of a property in Cookstown. Detective Chief Inspector Rachel Wilson revealed:
“Whilst I’m keeping an 1 mind, I now believe that Damien has sadly been murdered. Earlier today, Saturday, August 6, we arrested a 50-year-old male on suspicion of murder following the search of one property in the Cookstown area.”
The suspect is currently helping police with their ongoing investigations.
Police Appeal for Information
Damien is described as around 1.77m (5’10”) tall with a stocky build. Authorities are urging anyone with information about his disappearance to come forward and assist the investigation.
