Detectives Urge Public to Help Solve Murder of PCSO Julia James
Detectives are still hunting for clues into the brutal murder of PCSO Julia James, found dead near Akholt Wood, Snowdown, a week after her shocking death.
The 53-year-old was discovered on Aylesham Road just before 4pm on Tuesday, April 27, 2021. A post-mortem revealed Julia died from serious head injuries. She was out walking her dog after working from home that day.
Police Launch Road Checks and Public Appeal
Kent Police have ramped up road checks around the area, speaking to anyone who hasn’t yet come forward. A minute’s silence will be held across Kent Police at 2.30pm in Julia’s memory.
No arrests have been made yet. But detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate are chasing multiple leads, exploring all angles on motive and suspects. The National Crime Agency is lending expert support with forensic search methods.
Officers Call for Witnesses and Evidence
Police want to hear from anyone who was near Akholt Wood on Monday 26 and Tuesday 27 April and saw anything unusual or suspicious. You can contact Kent Police on 0800 0514 526.
