Police are hunting two thugs who launched a violent attack on a motorcyclist in Gravesend, leaving him seriously injured. The shocking assault happened as the victim rode his red Honda along Rochester Road.
Daylight Attack Leaves Rider with Serious Leg Injuries
The terrifying incident took place on Sunday, March 16, between 4.20pm and 4.30pm. Two males on an electric bike targeted the rider, repeatedly kicking him while he was still on his bike. Officers believe it was a desperate attempt to steal the motorcycle.
The vicious assault caused the rider to lose control and crash into roadside railings. Emergency services rushed him to hospital with serious leg injuries. Thankfully, his condition isn’t life-threatening—but police warn the injuries could be life-altering.
Kent Police Appeal for Witnesses and CCTV Footage
“We are investigating a disturbing incident in which a motorcyclist was targeted and violently assaulted by two males on an electric bike. This was a brazen and dangerous attempt to steal the victim’s vehicle in broad daylight,” said a Kent Police spokesperson.
“We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, has dashcam footage, or who may recognise the suspects to contact us immediately.”
The suspects fled the scene on their electric bike. Police are now scouring CCTV footage from the area and urging anyone with information to come forward.
