Delivery Driver Attacked in Shocking Moped Mugging
A delivery driver was violently assaulted at around 2.45pm last Thursday on Alexandra Road after two moped riders tried to snatch his parcels.
Driver Confronts Thieves, Gets Knocked Down
Detective Sergeant Leanne Hearnshaw revealed: “The driver challenged the men but was then assaulted by them and knocked over after the moped was driven at him repeatedly.” The driver was just doing his job when the sick attack happened.
Suspects Identified – But Police Need Your Help
- Two white men in their early 20s
- Wearing black clothes and balaclavas
- Riding a black moped
DS Hearnshaw added: “This should not be happening on our streets. Everyone who saw the attack was left very distressed.”
Police are hunting the suspects and urge anyone with info to call 101, quoting incident number 552 of 1 April.
