Father and Son Attacked After Foiling Fence Panel Theft

A terrifying ordeal unfolded on Glenholme Road around 5.30pm on 11 September when a group of unknown males tried to steal fence panels from a property.

The 60-something homeowner and his 21-year-old son stepped in to stop the theft. The suspects fled but returned shortly after – launching a violent assault with bricks and sticks.

Suspects Possibly Teenagers

Descriptions are sketchy, but police believe the attackers may be teenagers. One was noted as younger and shorter than the others. Another, described as quite tall, was seen wearing grey clothes.

Victims Hospitalised, Police Seek Witnesses

The father and son were taken to hospital with injuries. Authorities are urging locals to come forward.
