Phone Snatched on Ashley Road, Tottenham – Police Hunt Suspect

Police have launched a probe after a mobile phone was stolen on Ashley Road, Tottenham (N17) earlier this afternoon.

Officers Rush to Scene, Victim Helps Identify Location

The Met were called at 3:42pm on Tuesday, 11 March after reports of the theft. Officers quickly attended and spoke with the victim, who helped pinpoint exactly where the crime took place. Despite this, no arrests have been made so far, and the suspect remains at large.

“Police were called at 15:42hrs on Tuesday, 11 March to reports of a phone theft on Ashley Road, N17. Officers attended and spoke with the victim, who assisted officers in identifying the location where the offence took place. There were no arrests. Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.” – Metropolitan Police

Details Scarce but Concern Rises Among Residents

The Met have yet to reveal whether the theft was violent or a quick grab-and-run. Locals and business owners in Tottenham are worried about rising opportunistic crimes. One witness said, “It’s becoming more common around here — people need to be cautious when using their phones in public.”
