Elderly couple battered in shocking Dagenham robbery
Knife-wielding gang attacks couple in Heathway
Police are hunting a gang who targeted a couple in their 60s on Heathway, Dagenham, last Thursday evening. Around 6.45pm, several men demanded cash and cigarettes before trying to snatch the woman’s handbag. The female victim was threatened with a knife, while her husband was shoved to the ground and punched multiple times.
Victims rushed to hospital with injuries
Both victims needed hospital treatment for their injuries, but thankfully none are life-threatening. The terrifying attack has left the community on edge as detectives launch a full investigation.
Police appeal for witnesses and footage
